Mr. Dilly Dally Doo Doo plays with his egg.

A most undignified name for such a beautiful dog, no?

So, I have all these fancy toys for Dallas. Stuffed toys, squeaky toys, soft toys, ropes, balls, this, that and the other.

What is his MOST favorite toy? A soft squeaky egg that came inside a fishy toy.

Egg egg egg egg egg egg egg.

This is what goes on his little brain all day.

Egg egg egg egg egg egg egg egggggggg.

And this is what I hear:

"Gallump, gallump, squeeee, squeeee, squeeeee! Plop. Squeeee SQUEEEE SQEEEEEEEE! Gallump. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

Oh, it's soothing is what it is. Won't you join meeeee? Squeeeeeeeeee?

Enjoy this recent video of my egg-sucking dog.

  1. Dallas seems like such a sweet, well tempered dog! You must love having him around.

Isn't it interesting how dogs develop attachments to toys just like children do? My dog Jessie has an old stuffed hedgehog (we call it Hedgie--creative, don't you think?) that she has loved since she was a tiny thing. She needs to have Hedgie by her bed when she goes to sleep at night. In the morning when she's snuggling she "nurses" on it. Virtually ever other stuffed animal we've given her over the years has survived less than five minutes before she separates the stuffing from the shell. People who claim that dogs are not intelligent or don't have emotions are, how shall I put it, idiots.

  2. It's MOST WONDERFUL to see that you two HAVE EACH OTHER to share your lives with. :0)
Dallas found himself a wonderful home with you and you found a sweet animal that only wants to be loved.
